Supply

The Länta-hut SAC tries to arrange the supply of the hut as lasting as possible. But even at the Länta it wouldn’t work without a helicopter. It’s a very efficient way to ensure the basic supply of the hut. We look forward to the professional support of the Air Grischa every time.

Shopping and food

The several fresh products are transported to the valley by donkeys. We take care about the origin and the way they are produced of the products we use.

Wine

The wine from Graubünden is pretty expensive. As well as the excellent bio wines from the Tessin and the countries next to Switzerland. Due to this you won’t find any cheap mass product at the hut. Though we offer our wine much cheaper than anywhere else.

Energy and Water

Our current is produced by a little power station with a water turbine and some solar panels on the roof. The liquid waste is cleaned by a very professional clarification plant. We use gas and wood, mostly regional spruce.

Education

Since 2002 the Länta-hut was part of different school and youth champs, where the right handling with the nature is teached. The first SAC Work & Climb champ took place in 1998 at the Länta-hut SAC. The first WWF glacier champ took place there exactly 10 years later.

Awards

The Länta-hut SAC won the Prix Wilderness for a lasting hut supply together with the Bietschhornhütte and the Zwinglipasshütte in 2004.
