Sleeping

At the Länta-hut SAC you are always accompanied by sounds when you go to sleep. If the windows are opened, there is the quiet noise of the Valser Rhein. Sometimes the far away baa of a sheep or the jingle of a bell. If the sounds are louder and next to you (for example your snoring neighbor), earplugs or tickling his nose could be helpful. Meanwhile: peaceful hours under a warm cover, not in a single or double room because we are at a hut in the end, but on a comfortable bed! Brave couples can sleep under the starry sky if there is no rain. The only double bed including a bedside table and a paraffin lamp is located outside between the rocks for climbing.

Beds in 2024

– 30 beds (summer), 26 beds (winter), distributed on 3 rooms.

– 2 beds (only summer) in the basecamp-tent right at the entrance, with complet equipment.

Facilities

All places to sleep possess a duckboard including the possibility to hover up the head part, a comfortable mattress, warm covers and pillows. The bedclothes are well-kept but it can’t be replaced after every single use. Due to this we recommend to bring with you your own sleeping bag made out of cotton or silk. Your own sleeping bag is compulsory!
